The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) committee has completed preliminary rounds of centralized web-based counseling for B.Tech degree courses across government and private technical institutions in the state. Consistent with previous admission cycles, state-run autonomous universities witnessed intense competition for high-demand digital technology courses.
Leading the preference lists among top rankers are the Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), formerly CET Bhubaneswar, and the historic Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla, Sambalpur.
Branch-wise Cutoff Dynamics
- Computer Science & Engineering (CSE): Highest opening rank cutoff across all categories at OUTR Bhubaneswar, closing within the top 35,000 JEE Main all-India rank bracket for state quotas.
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI-ML): Rapid surge in student opt-ins, surpassing traditional electronics and mechanical branches for the third consecutive year.
- Core Engineering Branches: Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical streams at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) Sarang and Government College of Engineering (GCE) Kalahandi registered steady allocations due to strong campus placements in regional core manufacturing units.
Counseling officials have reminded all allotted students to complete online document verification, token seat confirmation fee payments, and reporting formalities at nodal counseling centers to avoid forfeiture of allotted seats.
